I started knitting a lace parasol. This is not a surprise to anyone, right? It looks like nothing right now, of course, but once I get a frame to stretch it over it should be much more…er…parasol-y.
In spite of having to rip back and fix the lacy socks many, many times, I have somehow made it past the heel shaping, thanks to a weekend of sitting-and-talking social engagements.
The Tamarix quilt is, surprisingly, about 80% done. How the hell did that happen?
FO: Striped Stirrup Legwarmers
These were made solely to show my friend how much I appreciate her and her willingness to carpool with me in spite of the fact that I don’t own a car. I’m pretty sure they would have been a week-or-less kind of project had I not been actively working on 3 other projects during the same time period, but all in all I feel a month was a decent amount of time to spend on them. And see? She loves them. All is right in the world.
I tried to ignore Dom Klary on Ravelry simply because she seems to use the site exclusively to do personal promotion in the guise of project sharing, However, I could not stop myself from drooling over her lacy, lacy gloves and parasols. I mean, seriously, knit and crocheted parasols. Guys, I just…I can’t even. I’ve told you that I have a thing for parasols, right? No?
I wonder how hard it would be to make one…
